LS18 Rocks gives many opportunities for all our members to perform across the city. Here are some of the things we’ve been up to
KIRKSTALL FESTIVAL
In July 2022, LS18 Rocks hosted our own stage in Kirkstall Abbey for the annual Kirkstall festival. This gave all of our bands a chance to perform including our very own ‘Reverend of Rock’ who was the first vicar to play in the Abbey for over 500 years!
LEEDS PLAYHOUSE
Also in July 2022, LS18 Rocks got the opportunity to perform as the house band for the Leeds Playhouse Community Showcase. All of our members took to the stage with their bands to perform a song (or two!)
ABBEY BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL
July 2022 was a busy one as some of our bands also took to the stage at the Abbey Beer and Music Festival.
WALK WITH AMAL
Our youngest band, Solar Jets, took to Millennium Square in 2022 to perform as part of the Walk with Amal, rocking out in front of the Civic Hall!
LEEDS 2023
LS18 Rocks are involved with Leeds 2023: City of Culture in many exciting ways. We kicked this off with a an acoustic performance at one of the Roadshow events around the city.
